Beautiful little Lexi broke the “boy streak” in the studio!! It was fun to include some faux flowers and floral headbands in her session! Mom & dad mentioned she had a floral themed nursery and requested some more bold colors so I went to work with what turned out to be a gorgeous gallery featuring perfect, complimentary colors. I always welcome family heirlooms and special items in my studio and really love working them into my clients’ portrait sessions. Lexi’s mama brought the most precious memory bear made from her Lexi’s grandfather’s clothing and requested we capture it in her photos. I don’t think it was a coincidence that it worked so perfectly in the color scheme I had planned! Such a beautiful way to honor her grandpa.

Lexi was sleeping so well so we decided to push our luck and try to pose her in a bowl surrounded by sunflowers. She immediately popped her eyes open and was ready to party! We had to scrap the idea of the sunflower bowl photos, but not before getting a few adorable “outtakes”!

And we can’t forgot to photograph the proud new parents with their sweet bundle of joy!! Congrats to the new mommy & daddy! Thank you for choosing me to document this special time in your lives!
