A Little Older, But Still A Newborn | Waukesha, WI Newborn Photographer | Michelle Alyce Photography
It’s been just over a month since I’ve photographed a newborn and even though photography businesses have been closed to help stop the spread of Covid-19, there are still lots of beautiful spring babies being born. I’ve spoken with a few new and expecting parents recently and they, understandably, are extremely disappointed that they can’t get in for their newborn portrait session. While it’s true that newborns are typically photographed within the first 2 weeks of life, it is definitely not a rule. Sure, they’re usually more sleepy and more easily posed when they’re under two weeks old, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get gorgeous newborn portraits with older newborns.
I have photographed TONS of “older” newborns with beautiful results. Every baby you see here is one month or older! Those tiny fingers and toes, little button nose, squishy features and bright round eyes are worthy of documenting, whether it’s at the 2 week mark or 3 months after birth! Just look at how perfect Emma, Noah and Aubrey are below!! They were between 1-3 months new for their sessions!
So if you’ve welcomed a new addition during the “Safer at Home” quarantine or if you’re currently expecting within the next few weeks, please don’t fret. I’ve got you covered!
