Hudson's Year In Review | Sussex, WI Newborn Portrait Photographer | Michelle Alyce Photography
Being chosen to document my clients’ special moments is the absolute best part of my job. No matter how many families I photograph or how many years I continue my business, the feeling I get when my clients trust me to capture priceless moments that they will cherish forever NEVER gets old. I do not take that responsibility lightly and pour my entire self into every moment I spend with my clients and creating their beautiful heirlooms. I am so thankful every day for the blessings I have been given and for the opportunity to serve my clients. Now, take that feeling and multiply it times a million when clients come back again and again for multiple sessions. I have such a passion for preserving these fleeting moments, the fresh newborn features, the chubby sitter thighs, the first few teeth as they start popping through gummy smiles, first steps, milestones and birthdays as they grow and change over the years, those almost adult-like features as they prepare to graduate high school, the change to a more professional look when it’s time to put on that “business” hat, the rounding belly that promises life will never be the same again, the wisdom and wrinkles that show a life well lived… and so much more. These are the moments I live for and the ones I’m so grateful to be chosen to capture time and time again.
Hudson’s mommy and daddy give me that feeling. They hoped, prayed and waited for little Hudson to come along and choose them as his mommy & daddy, and then they chose me to document this special time for them. This little boy is such a miracle and is an absolute joy to everybody who knows him. He’s the perfect mix of sweet and charming with a little bit of sass. ;) He has shown his personality in every session I’ve had with him and I just love how his portraits have turned out. Keep scrolling to see some faves from Hudson’s first year (plus maternity!).
I can still smell the wildflowers and feel the warm late summer sun on my skin. We had such a beautiful night for this maternity session!
This dress matches the dresses Lisa’s bridesmaids wore for her wedding. She bought one and held onto it knowing that one day, it would look beautiful for her maternity portraits. I was so glad she brought it for her session because not only did it look amazing in her photos, but it has so much meaning behind it. <3
I spy… The same rug and similar colors as his newborn session! This is done on purpose so my clients and I can easily coordinate collages, album spreads and wall displays that are pleasing to the eye and flow nicely together.
Do you recognize that rainbow bucket from his newborn session? That bucket, plus the wooden rainbow prop next to the basket are both from my personal collection of props and are used to honor his parents’ journey and resilience through the storm. He is their sign of hope. Their rainbow baby <3
Somebody LOVES Sesame Street so I created “Hudson Street” in my studio. It was perfect!
Cake and cookies! What better way to celebrate your FIRST birthday?!
Those baby blues + messy frosting face… I always make sure to take close-up headshots of babies during their smash sessions.
This is the most fun way to get cleaned up after your cake smash! Bubble bath clean-up is included with all Smash & Splash Milestone portrait sessions!
Happy 1st Birthday, Hudson! I can’t wait to watch you grow up!
