It’s that time of year again! Senior portrait session “season” is right around the corner and my schedule is filling up FAST with lots of high school juniors planning to make a statement in next year’s high school yearbooks.

As a former high school science teacher and track coach, I feel a special bond with all of my seniors. These sessions are some of my absolute favorites! We start the day with professional pampering in my studio, followed by fun studio portraits and then head outside to explore and create some beautiful art together. We have FUN! We talk about life, joke around with each other, discuss plans for the future and really capture the essence of this important time in their life.

Sophia and I started in my studio in Sussex, WI and then drove down to Milwaukee to explore the downtown area. She changed a few times, I exceeded my step goal for the day and we created stunning portraits!

Lakeshore Park in Milwaukee is one of my favorite outdoor locations for portrait sessions. It is so beautifully unique and always booming with activity! In one direction, you have the most gorgeous views of Lake Michigan and when you turn around, you see the bustling city of Milwaukee. I can create a full and diverse gallery of portraits without having to drive to multiple locations.
